What is Neuroinhibitors?

These are substances also known as neurotoxins as they are derived from clostridium botulinum. This bacterium releases a neurotoxin that binds to nerve endings with the effect that the muscles supplied by the toxin do not work anymore.

How is it safe for humans?

Using modern technology, the substance is produced in laboratories under stringent conditions. Depending on the brand a different process is used delivering a safe and quantified product. This enables the doctor giving the Neuroinhibitor to know exactly what and how much he/she needs to use for specific treatment.

Each Neuroinhibitor unit has a specific strength. This also enables the doctor to know how long it will work before function returning to the injected muscle.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is a Clostridium botulinum type A
toxin-haemagglutinin.

How does Dysport and Botox work?

The action involves an initial binding to the presynaptic nerve membrane. It then crosses the presynaptic membrane without causing paralysis. It then inhibits the release of acetylcholine by disrupting the Ca2+ mediated mechanism with the effect of reducing the endplate potential causing paralysis. It has no effect on the postganglionic cholinergic transmission or postganglionic sympathetic transmission.

FAQ’s

Is it painful?

Having the treatment is likely to not be painful at all. Both the product injected and very small needle cause no to little pain (like a mosquito bite). There will also be no bruising of the injection sites.

What aftercare is needed?

Depending on the specific product the aftercare may differ. This information will be provided to you on the day of treatment.

Can I pick the areas I want treated?

Yes, you can pick treatment areas. Your doctor will evaluate the need as well and advise you on the optimal areas to do and also stage treatment according to need and cost. The units used will be discussed as each area differ in what is needed for the proper treatment.

What is the price of a treatment?

A detailed price list is available. The price is calculated according to the units used.

How many treatments do I need?
